The Bedrooms: Peffer Burn
p’effur burne, n Scottish
The 5th hole of Craigielaw Golf Course, Aberlady, East
Lothian. Named after the river that sources at Waughton
Farm near East Fortune and lets out into the Aberlady Bay
and the Firth of Forth to the east of Green Craig. This is the
longest of the par fours of Craigielaw at 424 yards. Beware
the field wall to the right, line up between Luffness
clubhouse ahead and Kilspindie to your left. Beware the
tentative approach, consider this the toughest of the par
fours and, if an easterly wind should blow, take heart from a
five.
Decorated in a French style, this restful room has views over the sea to Fife. The bathroom has both a free standing shower and bath. It is from this bedroom that you can watch the seals as they sunbath on the sandbanks of the Peffer Burn. All our rooms can either be made up as twins or king size doubles. We use white bed linen from Italy with a 200 thread count made from Egyptian cotton percale.
