The Bedrooms: Little Windmill

Litt-ell wind’mill. .n.

The thirteenth hole of Craigielaw Golf Course, Aberlady, East Lothian is named after the old mill that once stood here. After negotiating the pond and bunkers, the remains of the mill walls guard this hole. When you finally reach the green you are rewarded by one of the best views in East Lothian. On a clear day you are blessed with views beyond Edinburgh, and the famous bridges that span the River Forth and onwards to the Lomond Hills.

This may be our smallest room but it has a huge view towards Edinburgh and beyond, decorated with Osborne and Little wallpaper, the drapes are a play on a room at Gosford House called the Chinese bedroom. The en suite bathroom is affectionately known as ‘the loo with the view’!
