Green Craig is a very flexible venue.
We like to offer accommodation to groups of friends who are looking for a 5 star experience, we can accommodate up to 12 guests. A serviced stay at the house is perfect for the discerning traveller who would like to arrive and relax – this is a one stop shop.
Prior to arriving, the in-house concierge will have spoken and discussed what activities and services the group require during their stay. Airport transfers, golf tee times, caddies, golf lessons, sightseeing tours, stately home tours and dinners reservations are to name but a few. Dinners can be taken at Green Craig in our panelled dining room prepared with the best of local produce by our chef. Should the group require a driver for the week or hire cars all this can be done ready for the guests on arrival.
The house is staffed with a small dedicated team who are here to make sure everything runs as smoothly as a single malt!
We pride ourselves in making your stay as memorable as possible – and if that includes counting gannets on the Bass rock or getting you a game of golf at the club you most want to play then we will help you achieve that.
Self catering at Green Craig
You can also stay at Green Craig with no staff – this self catering option or what we like to call it, total privacy is perfect for groups that wish to do it all themselves. The house will be ready for you on arrival, set up as you have requested and you will be able to use the house and its facilities without the presence of any staff for the duration of your stay. Of course we are not that far away to reassure you, should you have a problem, or require us to help you with catering, or a linen change. All this can be built into your time with us – we find that groups that take the house in this way – really do like to be completely on their own, to make their own fun.
Weddings at Green Craig
Getting married at Green Craig is a truly memorable occasion. The house is perfect for the smaller more intimate wedding and the whole stay is run very much along the lines of a private house party. Green Craig is offered over two nights to the bride and her family allowing guests or family to stay both nights and enjoy the excitement of waking up and getting ready for the marriage ceremony. Marriages can take place anywhere on the property inside or outside – weather permitting. With a maximum of 40 guests you can enjoy your wedding breakfast in our beautiful panelled dining room. Should you require more guests to attend we can tailor make a bigger wedding with the use of a marquee or use one of our sister venues Gosford House or Craigielaw Golf Club.
Meetings at Green Craig
As the house is spacious with a number of rooms we are ideally suited to meetings and small conferences. The sitting room is large and comfortable for the more informal of meetings; our dining room can be set up in a class room or theatre arrangement allowing up to 50 people to be accommodated, break away rooms are also available.
The grounds and gardens can be used to demonstrate products and are perfect for team building or group activities, of which there are many that can be arranged – falconry, golf clinics, hot air ballooning, orienteering, beach expeditions, kite boarding instruction, watercolour workshops, whisky tastings, cookery lessons and classic car rallies to name some, these can all be accommodated on site.
Stay over after your meeting, get up the next day and take advantage of some of the best links golf courses in the world. East Lothian has some 22 courses to test you – from some of the most famous links courses to some beautiful inland parkland courses. Of course one day might not be enough!
